Hendre has been using storytelling as an educational medium in Victorian Primary Schools for over 20 years and has developed successful and engaging Storytelling Sessions, Creative Writing Workshops & Artist in Residencies for all year levels from Prep to Year 6.
Hendre holds a unique position as a storyteller as he creates and tells his own stories, that are not only gripping and entertaining but also give students an insight into his vivid imagination and creativity.
Hendre is also one of the few storytellers in Australia who has the ability to appeal to a very wide age range, he is as comfortable a teller with Preps as he is with Grade 6 students. This coupled with his ability as a raconteur make his performances and workshops universally engaging.
It is obvious to any who has met Hendre that he has dedicated his life to storytelling and story, endeavouring to understanding its infinite variety, capability and immense effectiveness as an educational medium.
Hendre was born with an insatiable curiosity and is heartened by the fact that there are always more stories to be discovered and created.
