Hendre offers Creative/Persuasive Writing Workshops structured to develop extra competency in Persuasive/Creative/Narrative focused writing skills for all Primary School year levels .
They have proven so successful that he now offers a free writing workshop with each storytelling booking.
This success is mainly built on Hendre’s understanding of writing structure, style and genre. His enthusiasm for writing is infectious. Hendre firmly believes that all children love to write if they are given the right encouragement, environment and inspiration. This belief is born out by his ability to achieve a nearly 100% participation rate in his workshops. He believes they can write, will write and they do!
Hendre’s main aim in the Writing Workshop is to show children that each person’s life experiences are unique and therefore they have stories to tell and opinions to share that are unique to their experience. Once students truly believe this to be true they are immediately able to find ideas for stories and writing pieces. Hendre also has the ability to see the story/writing potential of any situation and his curiosity means that he readily provides students with the prompts and focus they need to write.
He never tires of reading their stories and responds individually to each participant in his writing workshops.
NB Workshops are available as part of a storytelling booking and extra workshops are available at additional cost upon request.
